The Port of Liepāja is located 18,5 miles S of Akmeņrags Cape near the city of Liepāja. The port is protected from the sea by moles and breakwaters. The three port entrances are located between them: north, middle and south gates. Minimum depth on the south leading lines is 10m, on the Loču (Pilot) Leading Lineand in the Tirdzniecības Chanel-6,2m alongside yacht mooring places-3,8-4,4m.

Upon entering Latian waters, foreign pleasure craft must pass passport and customs clearance in one of the folowing ports: RĪGA, VENTSPILS, LIEPĀJA, PĀVILOSTA, ROJA, MĒRSRAGS, SALACGRĪVA, SKULTE

The following document are required: passport, yacht registration certificate, crewlists(minimum of two)

The Latvian curency unit is the lats (LVL), which is divided into 100 santims. Foreign currency can be exchanged at a bank or currency exchange points. There are no restrictions on the amount of foreign currency that can be brought into or taken out the country. Credit and debit cards are widely accepted and may be used in cash machines
